Difference between a snaffle loose ring and a control plate loose ring?

What is the difference between the snaffle loose ring and the control plate loose ring? Are your bits different than others?

Our single break, snaffle is kinder than other snaffles in that we curve the mouth piece to reduce the tongue pressure, we also offset the link which in other snaffles is a severe pressure point on the tongue.
The sweet iron that we make the mouth pieces out of encourages salivation which makes our bits more accepted. The control plate applies tongue pressure which your horse may or may not accept, but it does not pinch the tongue and applies less bar pressure. The elliptical is a popular choice but it is slightly sharper than the plate due to smaller surface area.
